Taking time to be Grateful
It is that time of year when everyone is reflecting and sharing what they are grateful for. We love this part of Thanksgiving because it allows us to look past everything bad and stressful that may be happening in our lives and really appreciate the good, even if it is something small. Take a moment and think of just one thing that you are thankful for right now. It could be your dog or the coffee in your hand, that passing test score or study group you are going to. Notice the joy or relief that you feel right now.
Practicing gratitude is a small action that we can do daily, not just around Thanksgiving. Some days it is easy to recognize all of the good in your life and then other days it may seem like you will never have a good day again. Try setting a reminder each day to take a minute and think of just ONE thing that you are thankful for on that day. Bonus challenge: If it is a person you are thankful for, let them know that you appreciate them!
